Hello H.E.R. Family,
Yes, I and we know it’s been a while since we’ve touched down on the blog but it’s for very good reasons…life has been moving at lightning speed. We’ve had some amazing ups and some unbelievable downs, and we’re prepping to share our journey with you shortly.
But in the meantime, here’s some #MidweekMotivation:
When you’re backed into a wall and it seems like you’re fighting your hardest and praying even harder but yet nothing is giving, try something new – be still. Do nothing.
That doesn’t mean that you’re succumbing to the obstacle or crises that is upon you. No. You’re giving time for your prayer(s) to come through. There is someone greater who has the strength necessary to bust through walls and defeat your demons, but we must remember that it will only be on His time – not ours.
“The Lord will fight for you; You only need to be still.” Exodus 14:14
This was a lesson learned recently. I was so lost in the battle, trying to make things happen like “this” or “that” within some crazy timeline, that it took me forever to realize what was really going on. The harder I pushed and prayed, the slower the universe moved. It wasn’t until my girl said “well maybe he doesn’t want you to do anything. Maybe he just needs you to be still.”
Word! And that was absolutely it. Within one month, everything was back on track, exactly what I prayed for.
Now, I’m not saying that being still will make your prayers get answered faster, but what I am saying is that until you give it all to God you ain’t praying right! But really, give it a try. Pray. Let it go and let God.
With passion,
DNC
