Networking has always been a weak spot for me; meeting new people under business or even casual settings can get a little awkward for me. It’s ironic because I’m in the networking capital of the world but tonight I decided to take another step outside of my comfort zone and go for the gold, literally.
Tonight my colleague and I had the opportunity to meet two of the Atlanta Dream players at Frazier & Deeter’s Inspiring Women Reception. There were women of all ages and races gather for good food and drinks. There were even men in attendance, all out to support the team and upcoming women networking events. I met the gold medal Olympian and Guard/Forward for the Atlanta Dream Angel McCoughtry and her teammate Erica De Souza, who played for her native Brazil in the Olympics. These ladies were so nice and very humble. Angel is beast on the court but a true lady in person. She even told us about how the Women’s USA team had to play bodyguards for Kobe Bryant, fighting off hundreds of Asian fans. This was a great event and I can’t wait to go to more.
Mid-WYFE Crisis Advice: Push yourself to do and be more and see what greatness occurs.

What a THRILL! Those ladies are poised and humble, they are such a beautiful example for all women and girls everywhere!
We are so glad you could attend and hope to see you at future events.
