[Mid-WYFE Motivation] Appreciate who you have, before they become who you had!

It is exactly one month before my birthday and today I celebrate the birthday of two amazing people in my life. As I reminisce on how much they have done for me through out my 30ish years, I can’t help but also reflect on how vital their roles have been in making me the woman I am today. From teaching me the rights and wrongs with men and motherhood, to daring me to live like there is no tomorrow – constantly pushing me to reach far past any dream I could ever have. I am forever in their debt, and others, and I truly appreciate the people God has placed in my life.

When’s the last time you reflected on your life? How are those who influenced you directly, or indirectly, doing? Have you thanked them lately for being a part of the person you are today?

Thanksgiving may be around the corner, but you don’t have to wait until then to show your appreciation.

There’s never a better day to just say “thank you” than today.

This week, I challenge you to take a moment to shoot a text, dial a number, send an email, DM through FB, Twitter, Snapchat or the Gram, or even send a carrier pigeon (whatever communication method you’re into) to a person who deserves to hear a simple, honest and heartfelt thank you from you.

Life is terribly too short, so live each day as if it were you last.
