[Mid-WYFE’s Monday Motivation] Our Purpose: Always unique but forever unknown

If someone asked you what do you think your purpose is in life, what would you say? Or what if someone asked your closet friend or family member about your purpose, would you know there answer?

Today’s Monday Motivation is inspired by my recent invite to join a social group. In our first meeting, after a brief introduction of each member, we went around and told what we thought our purpose was in life. 85% of us had no real clue but how many of us really do? Sure we can describe what it is we are good at or what it is that we would love to do, but can we really calculate into a particular job or an exact life plan. Some can but most of us find it hard to pin down where our path will lead us.

So how did I answer the question when I was asked…it was simple: I had no clue! All I know is that I love to connect and meet people, do a million things at once and help bring smiles to those around me. As general as that sound it’s the truth and one day I hope that those can all come together and then bam…my purpose. But until then I’m perfectly happy just enjoying my next steps…nervous at times but still enjoying the stroll.

This week take a moment to realize the things that you love to do and how that could possible attribute that to a purpose. Can it help you give back to your community or even the world? Will it help you inspire others? Or maybe it can just make your family ties stronger? Either way understand that GOD has you here for a purpose. Don’t ever give up on yourself because we all have meaning to our existence but don’t stress over knowing the exact details of it. Sometimes it’s just easier to walk the path rather than worry about where the path is heading.

Amen sister! I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up…so knowing my purpose in life is even harder to discover, but I am ready for the adventure. Great post!
